The Kiddo Feedo Freezer Tray is made from 100% premium quality food-grade silicone, which consists of four, abundant and readily available natural elements: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen and silicon; silicone being the second-most abundant element in the earth’s crust (found for example in dust and sand). These elements are heated to create a liquid-like substance which is then cured, hardened and formed into our freezer tray’s shape.

Baby safety is our highest priority. The Kiddo Feedo Freezer Tray contains no chemicals that can leach into your baby’s food. Our tray is made of 100% premium quality food grade silicone which is BPA-free, Phthalates-free, lead-free, latex-free, PVC-free, nitrosamine-free, non-toxic, hypo-allergic and sterilized.
Quality control inspections are utilized both internationally by the strict LFGB and in the USA by the FDA to ensure the Kiddo Feedo Freezer Tray meet and exceed all their standards, rules and regulations.

Silicone is a miracle product in that it’s a non-porous, non-toxic material that can withstand temperatures from -150 to 460 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s flexible, packable and light; you can freeze it and put it through the dishwasher. Plus, since silicone can take many years of wear and tear and are reusable, our Mother Earth loves them too. Furthermore, silicone is derived from abundant, easily accessible elements (no petroleum products that need to be drilled for).

By nature, food-grade silicone is odorless, non-porous and tasteless, however for the tray to be formed into its desired shape the tray goes through a curing process, which means its heated in an oven for 4 hours. This heating process can sometimes give off a smell even though it’s not dangerous in any way. This smell does dissipate with time. Oddly, washing does little to help; the best remedy seems to be good, old-fashion fresh air.

The Kiddo Feedo Freezer Tray is easy to clean – rinse with soap and water or put it in the dishwasher. Avoid placing it next to any sharp objects like knifes or skewers in the sink or dishwasher as these objects may pierce the silicone.

The tray can handle temperatures as high as +446 Fahrenheit (230º C) and as low as -40 Fahrenheit (-40º C). It is safe to use in the freezer, oven, microwave and dishwasher.

Each portion size is 2.6 oz. / 75ml. Total capacity or the tray is 23.4 oz. / 675ml.

The flexible silicone material with the round, wide shape of each cube and the sturdy base of the tray means each frozen cube releases with very minimal effort. No more twisting and sore fingers!

There are a few recommended ways to remove each portion from the Kiddo Feedo Freezer Tray.

1. Leave the tray at room temperature for a couple of minutes, then turn the tray upside down and then press the indented circle of the portion that you wish to release.

2. Turn the tray upside down and hold the portion you want to pop out for a few seconds under warm running water and then press the indented circle of the cube you wish to release.

3. If you’re not sensitive to the cold, hold your warm hand around the portion you wish to pop out, and slowly push it out.

The lid being made of silicone (not plastic like most other freezer tray lids) means that it’s soft and bendable and will keep its shape at all times. The lid is therefore easy to remove when frozen and easy to clip back on when refreezing and won’t crack. The unique clip-on design of the lid prevents contamination, freezer burns and food spillage. It also does not contain any BPAs, Phthalates, PVC, lead, latex, nitrosamines or other toxins.

The headspace needed will vary slightly depending on what foods you’re freeze, some food expand more than others whilst in the freezer, but as a general rule we find that if you leave about 1cm headspace you’re good to go with most foods.
